Voting trend conservative for Champaign City Council

Champaign City Council candidates Tom Bruno, Deb Feinen and Marci Dodds look over returns Tuesday night at the Brookens Administrative Center in Urbana.

CHAMPAIGN – Smokers who missed being able to light up a cigarette in city bars could reclaim that privilege in coming months, following Tuesday's city elections.

The election results, which saw the three most conservative council candidates win at-large seats, also mean it is much less likely that Champaign will enact a civilian police review board to consider complaints against police officers.
