New Ludlow sewer system could lie in hands of government

LUDLOW – Since voters on Tuesday turned down a proposal to build a $4 million sewer system in Ludlow, it will likely be up to the EPA and the Department of Public Health to decide if Ludlow builds a sanitary system.

Village Board President Pete Walker said government regulations could force the Champaign County community to build a new sewer system and eliminate the septic system it currently uses.
