'Hook-up fee' for two-way pagers a scam, officials say

State officials on Monday warned against a scam attempting to trick seniors into giving out credit-card numbers.

The scam involves an emergency two-way voice pager the Illinois Department on Aging's Community Care Program provides for free to help qualifying seniors continue to live independently.
