D.C. firm hired to bolster UI's grant search

The University of Illinois has hired a Washington, D.C., firm to help university researchers leverage more grant money.

The firm, Lewis-Burke Associates, will be paid $183,000 for its work from May 20, 2007 through June 30, 2008. The university has the option to renew its contract for four more years, with an increase of about 5 percent each year, for a total of just over $1 million.
