Police oversight on Urbana council's agenda

URBANA – After two years, an ordinance creating a civilian police review board will finally come before the Urbana City Council for consideration this Monday.
The ordinance, which has been discussed in a variety of forums for about two years, would leave the discipline of police officers in the hands of Police Chief Michael Bily. But the plan would create an independent process for reviewing citizen complaints against Urbana police officers.
