Man rejects plea deal in drug case

PAXTON – Robert Martin Schaub, 47, of Gibson City has rejected a plea agreement offered by Illinois Assistant Attorney General Matthew Hoppock for Schaub's part in an East Central Illinois drug operation.
Ford County Assistant Public Defender David Rumley of Urbana said in response to questioning by Circuit Judge Steve Pacey that Schaub has rejected an offer that would reduce his sentence to 22 years.
