Two men plead innocent in Douglas County shooting

TUSCOLA – Two Chicago men pleaded innocent today to multiple charges in connection with the June shooting of Douglas County Chief Deputy Tom Martin.
Public defender James D. Lee said that William B. Thompson, 26, who listed an address in Chicago, was innocent of 28 felony counts, including attempted first-degree murder, aggravated discharge of a firearm, home invasion, aggravated kidnapping, armed robbery, aggravated unlawful restraint, aggravated vehicular hijacking, unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, aggravated fleeing, unlawful possession of a converted vehicle and aggravated unlawful restraint.
