DANVILLE – Local agencies are making adjustments – and recommendations – to beat the heat.

CRIS Senior Services is inviting seniors who don't have air conditioning to cool off at its facility at 309 N. Franklin St. for as long as a heat advisory remains in effect, President and Chief Executive Officer Amy Henkelman said. The center will be open past its usual 4 p.m. closing time and could remain open as late as 8 p.m., depending on the need.
