1890 structure getting overhaul

CHAMPAIGN – The 117-year-old Enterprise Building in downtown Champaign has seen better days. Built in 1890, the building is boarded up, with a bad roof and water damage.

But, possibly by next week, contractors will begin a long-awaited $1.1 million renovation of the building at 34 Main St., at the southeast corner of Main and Walnut streets.
