Urbana man faces murder charge

JOLIET – An Urbana man is accused of fatally shooting a Champaign woman and dumping her body out of a moving car on Interstate 57 in Will County.
According to Illinois State Police at District 5, Joliet, the Will County state's attorney's office approved a charge of first-degree murder against Delon E. Scott, 22, of Urbana for killing Cassandra R. Cawthon, 33, of Champaign. Scott was being held in the Will County Jail, state police said.
