Three freshmen football players suspended following incident

CHAMPAIGN – Three freshman football players for the University of Illinois have been suspended by Coach Ron Zook for the Saturday game with Michigan, following an incident outside a campus bar early Thursday.

Daryle Ballew, Brian Gamble and Mark Jackson were all given city ordinance violations, according to Champaign police spokeswoman Rene Dunn.
