Redesign turns Mahomet Web site into community tool

MAHOMET – Lyn Ferdinand has spent the last four months refurbishing the Mahomet Area Chamber of Commerce's Web site at www.mahometchamberofcommerce.com, but she wants you to know it's more than just a stop on the Internet.
It's also a tool for the community, she said, as well as a way to get information on local businesses, a portal to other Mahomet Web sites and a method of showcasing Mahomet's assets.
