SPRINGFIELD – Gov. Rod Blagojevich has called yet another special session for next week, focused on a long-term funding solution for the Chicago-area mass-transit systems.
"The General Assembly must take action soon," Blagojevich wrote in a letter to lawmakers, warning of fare hikes and service cuts slated for Jan. 20, when the second round of emergency funding from the state runs out.
