Man accused of violating court order

URBANA – A Philo man arrested Friday for allegedly making calls to his estranged wife in violation of an order of protection was also formally charged Friday with possession with intent to deliver cannabis.
Assistant State's Attorney Chris Kanis said Champaign County sheriff's deputies had arrested Eric Hess, 47, for violation of an order of protection after he admitted calling his wife in violation of an order she received last Friday. When he asked if he could retrieve his wallet from his office, deputies allowed that and in plain view saw a large bag containing smaller bags of cannabis.
