Woman found not guilty in weapons charge

URBANA – A Champaign County judge Thursday threw out weapons charges against a Champaign woman before a jury could begin deliberations.
Lavender Ewing, 24, who listed an address in the 3400 block of Stoneway Court, had been charged with aggravated unlawful use of weapons for having an unloaded gun and ammunition for it in a car in Urbana on July 21.
