Veterans, disabled can apply for new tax exemptions

URBANA – Three new property tax exemptions that will benefit returning veterans, disabled veterans and disabled people in general will be available in 2008.
Property owners must apply for the exemptions at the supervisor of assessments office, Champaign County supervisor of assessments office manager Lisa Withrow said. Applicants must provide supporting documentation, she said.
