Marching Illini bass drum player and drum line section leader Austin Ahlberg lines up with the band Monday as it prepares to march in a parade at the 'Illini Bash' at Universal Studios Hollywood theme park in Universal City, Calif.
Today, he finally takes the field. All the pep rallies, parades and appearances have led to this moment.
At last, Justin Ahlberg fulfills his dream at the Rose Bowl.
But he's not worrying about how to stop Chauncey Washington or taking a tackle from Keith Rivers. Ahlberg, a bass drummer in the Marching Illini, just wants to make sure he stays on beat and in rhythm with his teammates.
