Ruling may affect release of juror data

URBANA – A ruling in a Champaign County court case this week may change the way information about potential jurors is disseminated.
On Monday, acting on a motion by defense attorney Steve Beckett of Urbana, Associate Judge Chase Leonhard asked to see information that Assistant State's Attorney Lindsey Clark had brought with her to court about the criminal backgrounds of the people who had been summoned for jury duty. The two lawyers were starting a driving under the influence trial.
