Rankin man gets prison in drug case

URBANA – A Rankin man will go to prison after admitting he was selling cocaine in large quantities.
U.S. Central District of Illinois Chief Judge Michael McCuskey on Friday sentenced Hilario Palomo, also known as Larry Palomo, 24, of Rankin to five years and 10 months in federal in prison for conspiracy to distribute cocaine. The judge also sentenced Palomo to eight years of supervised release and warned him that another similar drug conviction would mean a mandatory life sentence in prison.
