Appellate court rules in favor of McGinty

SPRINGFIELD – Champaign County Board member Brendan McGinty will be on the Feb. 5 primary ballot, an appellate court ruled 3-0 today.
But Ruth Wyman, the attorney for Richard Reynolds of Urbana, who challenged the Urbana Democrat's petitions, said she'll file immediately for a rehearing based on what she described as errors of the law, and will consider an Illinois Supreme Court challenge.
