MAHOMET – The fate of the Mahomet Public Library will be in voters' hands Tuesday as residents consider two separate propositions about a new library.

The first is to issue a bond in the amount of $3.325 million for construction of a larger library. This would mean a 9 cent per $100 increase for taxpayers. The bond would be paid off in 20 years – or less with fundraising efforts – and the increase would then disappear.
