Ameren offers trades for trees

HOOPESTON – AmerenIP wants to trade trees with some Hoopeston residents.
The utility, preparing for trimming around power lines – scheduled to begin in about a month – suggested at Wednesday's Hoopeston city council meeting that it would offer to trade new trees to homeowners in exchange for permission to remove troublesome trees.
