Allerton Public Library receives $1.9 million gift

Allerton Public Library Director Lisa Winters, seen Friday, said the facility got about $2 million from the estate of former Monticello resident Max Hency.
MONTICELLO – The Allerton Public Library in Monticello has received a $1.9 million gift from the estate of former resident Max Hency.
"I am still overwhelmed. This is by far the biggest donation," said Library Director Lisa Winters.
