Farmers told not to get too comfortable

TUSCOLA – Farmers today may be getting some of the best prices in history for their crops, but Chuck Hartke, the director of the Illinois Department of Agriculture, doesn't want them to get too comfortable."We've seen bad times and we've seen good times," Hartke said after addressing a group of Douglas County farmers Wednesday. "Be very cautious."

With soybeans selling for up to $13 a bushel and corn at $5 a bushel, farmers are doing well.
