FISHER – At least four residents raised drainage problems with the town board Thursday, while others spoke in support of water and wastewater head Mike Hilber.
Renae Staffeldt, whose basement flooded with sewage in January, asked the board where her reimbursement was for backflow preventive measures she paid for after the incident. She hopes to see 75 per cent of her costs reimbursed by the village, as she said is done in Champaign by the sanitary district there.
