Curtis Road interchange likely to be done at end of April

CHAMPAIGN – It probably won't be until around the end of April before the Curtis Road interchange on Interstate 57 finally opens.

Work on the interchange, including final asphalt work, laying shoulders, adding guardrails and erosion control work, should begin around April 1 and take 20 to 30 days to complete, according to Jeff Birch, project implementation engineer for the Illinois Department of Transportation District 5 office in Paris.
