City will try to restore damaged clock

CHAMPAIGN – A city planner said today that the city will try to restore a historic downtown Champaign street clock that was knocked down by a car over the weekend.

The clock, a familiar feature downtown for more than 90 years, was knocked down as a car crashed into it at Neil and Main streets about 10 p.m. Saturday.
