Security tightening at Danville pool

Danville Parks Department worker Anthony Brandon works Monday at the city pool near Danville. City officials are getting ready for another season at the facility and are adding security measures, such as installing bulletproof glass at the cashier's booth and adding two security guards.
DANVILLE – Bulletproof glass and a double-fence gate are just a few of the changes ahead for the city pool this swimming season.
Construction will begin soon on a new entrance that includes security improvements for the gate and the cashier's booth, recreation manager Cindy Parson said.
