Space issue poses hurdle for Stratton

CHAMPAIGN – Champaign school officials are trying to resolve a space crunch at Stratton Elementary School to keep the gifted classrooms and fulfill a requirement of the district's consent decree for the number of classrooms at the school.

The consent decree states that Stratton should be a four-strand school, meaning it should have four classrooms at each grade level.
