URBANA – Add a little extra to the Urbana school district's milk money next year, because on Tuesday night the board approved a 4 percent increase in rates for its food service contract with Aramark.
The increase – which comes in slightly below a consumer price index of 4.1 percent – is due to "skyrocketing" food costs, said Carol Baker, the district's business manager, who said the contract with Aramark stipulates that its rates cannot increase above the consumer price index.
