Alleged thefts blamed on price of scrap metal

Aaron Williams and Lonnie Eddy were arrested last week with these vehicles full of scrap metal. The vehicles were behind the Douglas County sheriff's office in Tuscola.

TUSCOLA – Douglas County Sheriff Charlie McGrew says thefts of scrap metal and other metal may be on the rise because of rising costs of metal commodities.

And two recent incidents illustrate that trend.
