A fawn, found by the side of the road, gets used to its new surroundings at Diana McPheters' home in Monticello.
MONTICELLO – It wasn't just raining cats and dogs at Diana McPheeters' home when the heavens opened over Piatt County this week.
It was raining bunnies, raccoons, robins, opossums and squirrels, with a fawn and a coyote pup thrown in for good measure.
McPheeters is the owner of Wild 4 Life, a wildlife rehabilitation organization she runs out of her home.
When heavy rains overflowed area rivers, streams and drainage systems this week, human families weren't the only ones displaced by rushing water.
