Frank Barber was driving this 1993 Toyota Camry east on U.S. 150 near Odgen when he fell asleep and crossed the center line, hitting motorcyclists Delt Baines and Ronald Huffman head-on and killing both. Mr. Baines' daughter, Delania Oman, is upset that Barber was only issued a ticket for improper lane usage after an investigation.

Delania Oman is angry. She's also grieving. Talking to her, it's hard to know which emotion is stronger.

The young man who fell asleep at the wheel and hit Oman's father and his friend on their motorcycles head-on, killing both, was ticketed for improper lane usage.

As executor of her late father's estate, the 45-year-old Fort Wayne, Ind., woman is left to sort through tens of thousands of dollars in medical bills from the 16½ hours he was kept alive after being hit, and a number of unsatisfactory answers.
