Douglas County flood victims learning how to get relief money

TUSCOLA – Since Douglas County was declared a federal disaster area from recent floods, everyone hopes the worst of the flooding is over. But officials with Douglas County municipalities are just beginning to find out how to take advantage of federal relief money.

Representatives from the Federal Emergency Management Agency told township, city, village and county officials from within Douglas County on Thursday what kinds of work are eligible for federal money and how to go about getting it.
