DANVILLE – In their victim-impact statements, 18-year-old Brandon Yoho's family and friends had asked a judge to imprison the man who two summers ago ran over the Georgetown teen with his car but delayed telling authorities.
But on Thursday, his mother, Darlene Yoho, thanked Vermilion County Circuit Judge Nancy Fahey for giving Jonathan K. Gallez 2½ years of probation and 364 days in jail instead.
