Champaign man convicted of drug possession

URBANA – A Champaign man who possessed heroin intended for sale last spring faces six to 30 years in prison when sentenced next month.

A Champaign County jury Wednesday deliberated three hours before convicting Earl Clay of one count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance but acquitting him of two counts of delivery of a controlled substance.
