Urbana school board OKs raises on two tiers for substitutes

URBANA – The Urbana school board Tuesday increased pay for substitute teachers.
Pay will go from $75 to $85 per day, with $90 per day after 10 days worked in the district.
Retired teachers who substitute in the district will have their pay raised from $110 to $125 per day for teachers substituting in all elementary schools. Teachers substituting in only one school get an increase to $120 per day.
