The committee looking at adding elementary seats in the Champaign school district is considering rebuilding Washington Elementary School, above, and adding a wing to Garden Hills Elementary School as one of its options.
CHAMPAIGN – The Champaign school district should decide next month on how it will add more elementary seats in north Champaign.
The school board discussed a recommendation on the north-side-seats issue in closed session at a special board meeting Monday night but did not take action. It will likely do so at its Sept. 15 board meeting.
