URBANA – Months of discussion, one voting stalemate, one approval from the school board and one disapproval from the state board later, the Urbana school district still does not have a completed plan for academic restructuring.
Though Urbana High School has already begun changing classes and schedules, the district will not be in compliance with Illinois State Board of Education rules until it submits a plan approved by the school board and accepted by the state board, said Don Owen, the district's assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction.
