David Switzer, one of the younger members of American Legion Post 210, organized a chapter of the American Legion Riders for his post in an effort to build camaraderie among the group of veterans and honor their fallen comrades.
BISMARCK – David Switzer took his turn serving in the U.S. Army, not in a war zone – although at the time, he thought unrest in the Middle East could change that.
Switzer served with the 42nd Engineering Company at Andrews Barracks in Berlin, Germany, as an explosives technician, and became an instructor for his unit.
