New state law bars abusers from getting kids' medical records

SPRINGFIELD – Chapin Rose said he marvels at what some abusers will do to find loved ones in order to hurt them.
That's why the state representative introduced legislation that became law last week that prohibits an abuser named in an order of protection from getting access to his children's medical records.
