Enforcement grant to police nets 279 tickets in Champaign

CHAMPAIGN – Police issued 279 tickets for speeding in key areas of Champaign in August.
This spring and summer, city patrol officers handed out citations under a grant from the state, according to Champaign police Sgt. David Griffet.
