GIBSON CITY – The Gibson City Council on Monday approved a new four-year agreement for police officers, replacing a three-year contract that had expired. The new contract gives local members of the Fraternal Order of Police bargaining unit a 3.5 percent pay increase for each year.
Mayor Daniel Dickey said council members had discussed the police contract extensively. He said contract language changes were minor, and that money had been "the sticking point."
