A corner at the intersection of Main Street and Bowman Avenue would be rezoned to make way for a new CVS store under a request that got the city zoning panel's nod Thursday.

DANVILLE – Several residents told the city's planning and zoning commission Thursday night that they objected to the expansion of a vehicle junkyard on Warrington Avenue on the city's western edge.

Bryant Industries has requested a special use permit to operate a junkyard at 1300 Warrington Ave., just outside the city limits. The site falls within the city's area of zoning authority, which extends one-and-a-half miles beyond its limits.
