A CRIS Senior Services bus leaves Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville on Thursday. The bus makes several stops in Danville and provides service to Hoopeston. CRIS Senior Services, one of 18 downstate agencies to receive a portion of $3 million in federal grant money to improve public transportation for low-income families and people with disabilities, has plans for the "Corn Cruizer," a bus that would travel between Hoopeston and several stops in Danville.

DANVILLE – Perhaps by this time next year, the Corn Cruizer will be regularly trekking between Hoopeston and Danville, filled with people on their way to jobs, doctors' appointments or shopping trips.
