Villa Grove council votes to put sales tax question on ballot

VILLA GROVE – A proposal to authorize a 1 percent municipal sales tax will be on the ballot in Villa Grove this spring.
City officials want to make sure, though, that voters understand the tax will support only emergency services in town.
