Third-grade students at Garden Hills Elementary School in Champaign stop Thursday by the memorial set up for third-grade teacher Venita Hubbard, who was killed in a car accident on her way to school Monday.

CHAMPAIGN – The bulletin board in the hallway at Garden Hills Elementary School is covered with letters surrounding Venita Hubbard's picture. So is the table below it, along with a vase full of red roses.

Written by students, some are thank-you notes to Mrs. Hubbard, a third-grade teacher at the school who was killed in a car accident Monday morning.
