Mahomet passenger killed; driver ticketed for DUI

MAHOMET – A 26-year-old Mahomet man was killed when the truck he was riding in went off the road and hit a tree near Mahomet early today.
Justin Diehl was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash at the intersection of Prairieview Road and Golfview Drive at 2:31 a.m. Wednesday, according to Champaign County Coroner Duane Northrup.
