18-year-old was killed at Bryan Avenue party

Alberto Cardoza, 18, was shot and killed in Danville on New Year's Eve.
DANVILLE – Alberto Cardoza had just celebrated his 18th birthday in December and was looking forward to going back to school after the holidays, said his grandmother, June Jenkins of Danville.
Mr. Cardoza died just after midnight on Thursday after he was shot in the 700 block of Bryan Avenue in Danville, according to police reports. The autopsy confirmed that Mr. Cardoza died as a result of gunshot wounds, according to a statement on Friday from the Vermilion County Coroner's office.
