Local groups join in worldwide rallies to support Gazans

Protesters hold a rally in support of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip on Saturday in front of the Champaign County Courthouse in Urbana.
CHAMPAIGN – Dozens locally joined thousands across the nation Saturday to protest against Israel's attacks on Gaza, a conflict more than 6,200 miles away.
Members of the local chapter of the Muslim American Society rallied in front of the Champaign County Courthouse between noon and 2 p.m. Saturday.
